XX — XML preprocessor

XX reads XML either from the standard input or from the file specified on the command line, and expands external entities. Inserts processing instructions referring to elements' locations in the original XML files. It is roughly the same for XML as cpp(1) for C. Command-line options:

-P

inhibits generation of <?davidashen-net-xg-file file-name ?> and <?davidashen-net-xg-pos line col ?> processing instructions.

XX is a small utility on top of Expat by James Clark.
